Bond University offers undergraduate and postgraduate law degrees through the College of Business, Government and Law at their Bedford Park campus and online.Â
Bond Law School Entry Requirements
If you’re a high school leaver or haven’t been to university before, an undergraduate Bachelor of Laws is for you. University graduates can study a postgraduate Juris Doctor degree. To learn more about the different types of law degrees, see our Law Degrees Explained page.
Year 12 EntryÂ
High school leavers can apply directly through Bond to study a Bachelor of Laws or a Combined Bachelor of Laws with Majors from Arts, Business, Commerce, Communication, Journalism and more.Â
High school leavers are assessed based on their ATAR. The 2021 ATAR cut off for the single and double degrees were 85.
Recent graduates & Mature Age
Applicants with higher degrees can apply directly with Bond here.Â
Alternative entry
Bond offers the following alternative entry pathways:
- Bond University Tertiary Preparation programs
- Bond University Diploma programs
- Other institutional Tertiary Preparation Programs
- Vocational education and training qualifications (Certificate IV and above)
- Prior higher education experience (at this university or another)
- Professional or para-professional qualifications/experience
- Employment experience verified by a statement of service from the employer stating the position title and length of service and a very brief statement on the tasks undertaken.
Juris Doctor (JD)
University graduates can apply for a 2-year Juris Doctor at Bond Law School directly through Bond. Applications are assessed based on students’ performance in their undergraduate degree(s).Â
There is not an alternative entry program for First Nations students.
Masters of Laws Â
Students can apply for an 8 month (2 semester) Masters of Law program directly through Bond.Â
Applicants must have completed a Bachelor of Laws, Juris Doctor or equivalent.

Studying law at Bond
Bond operates on a three semester calendar. A full-time study load is 6-8 subjects per year. Students can also enrol in a part time study load, which is 3-4 subjects per year.Â

Indigenous tutoring program
Bond operates the Indigenous Student Success Program (ISSP) for all First Nations students. Â

Practical Legal Training (PLT)
Bond offers an 8 month (2 semesters) Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice.Â
Students can complete PLT online or on campus.
Students be may considered for concurrent enrolment in the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice alongside their Bachelor of Law or Juris Doctor degree.Â
