Swinburne University of Technology (Swinburne) offers undergraduate and postgraduate law degrees through the Swinburne Law School at their Hawthorn campus. 

Swinburne Law School Entry Requirements

If you’re a high school leaver or haven’t been to university before, an undergraduate Bachelor of Laws is for you. University graduates can study a postgraduate Juris Doctor degree. To learn more about the different types of law degrees, see our Law Degrees Explained page.

Swinburne operates on a two semester calendar. A full-time study load is 8 subjects per year. Students can also enrol in a part time study load, which is 4 subjects per year.

The Indigenous Commonwealth Education Costs Scholarship (ICECS) aims to improve higher education access for Indigenous people, particularly those who need to relocate from regional and remote areas, through payments to assist with education costs.

Laptops available for Indigenous students completing an undergraduate or postgraduate course.

$1000 payment to support an Indigenous student access IT equipment and/or services.

Scholarship available for current Swinburne Indigenous VET students transitioning into a Higher Education Undergraduate Degree.

Established in 2020, the Swinburne Indigenous Bursaries support Swinburne Indigenous students to commence their education.

VET Indigenous Relocation Scholarship

Scholarship available for Swinburne Indigenous VET students enrolled to commence a PAVE Diploma, including Unilink Diploma or Advanced Diploma course.

Swinburne does not offer PLT.
