University of Adelaide (UA) Law School
University of Adelaide Law School
The University of Adelaide (UA) offers standalone undergraduate law degrees through the Faculty of Law at their North Terrace campus.
UA Law School Entry Requirements
If you’re a high school leaver or haven’t been to university before, an undergraduate Bachelor of Laws is for you. To learn more about the different types of law degrees, see our Law Degrees Explained page.
High school leavers can apply to study a standalone or combined Bachelor of Laws at UA through the South Australian Tertiary Admissions Scheme (SATAC). In 2021, the ATAR cut-off was 95.00 or an IB of 37. Intake is in February and July each year.
UA offers two alternative entry programs for First Nations students.
The University Preparatory Program (UPP) is a free one-year program for anyone preparing to take on higher education. Wirltu Yarlu supports all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders who participate in the program. The course is designed to improve numeracy, literacy and research skills while introducing university culture. For more information, click here.
The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Access Pathway gives First Nations students who would otherwise not have qualified for university an opportunity to enter a UA undergraduate degree, the UPP or a Foundation Program. This entry program is open to High School leavers, and mature aged students or those who did not obtain a year 12 certificate. For more information, click here.
UA operates on two-semester calendar. A full-time study load is 8 subjects per year. Students are also encouraged to participate in an overseas exchange at a partner University for one year.
