Jason O'Neil

Jason is a Wiradjuri man from Parkes, NSW. He first joined the Ngalaya Board as a law student in 2016, was Chairperson 2018-19 and Executive Director since 2020.


Jason is a Lecturer at UNSW Law & Justice, and was previously the Director of Indigenous Legal Education from 2021 - 2024. He is a current a Scientia PhD Candidate researching Indigenous self-determination in Australian public policy. He has previously worked as a Project Officer on the Towards Truth Project at the Public Interest Advocacy Centre, and as a casual lecturer and tutor in Indigenous Studies and policy analysis at UNSW.
