Airbnb Indigenous Law Scholarship

Ngalaya is pleased to offer this new $6,500 scholarship for a committed and talented Indigenous law student, supported by Airbnb.

Benefits and  criteria

Scholarship benefits

  • once-off scholarship payment of $6,500

Eligibility

Applicants must be:

  • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander; and

  • enrolled in a Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor at an Australian tertiary institution.

Assessment criteria

Applicants will be assessed based on their:

  • demonstrated commitment to First Nations justice;

  • demonstrated involvement in community-focused work;

  • potential to advance First Nations' interests throughout their legal career; and

  • financial need.

Applications are open until 11:59pm on Friday 19 December. Applications will be assessed by Ngalaya's Board of Directors and the successful recipient will be notified by February 2026.
