Fifth and penultimate year Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Laws Student, Amos Taylor, was named First Nations Senior Law Student of the Year at the 2025 Ngalaya Ball.

Amos cites his family and ancestors of the Kija and Jaru tribes of the Kimberley region of Western Australia as both the inspiration and source of his cultural mandate to become an Indigenous sky lawyer, seeking to restore Indigenous custodianship of Sky Country through legal research, policy reform and practice.

Amos is currently the Indigenous Leadership Programs Customer Success Coordinator at the Australian Graduate School of Management at UNSW Business School, where he supports students and helps facilitate the Executive Indigenous Leaders Program.

Amos was in Darwin on the night of the 2025 Ngalaya Ball working hard to facilitate the EILP.

Thanks to Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer for sponsoring this award.
