2022 First Nations Law Awards
On August 31, Wiradjuri man Kyle Fox was named First Nations Senior Law Student of the Year at the 2022 Ngalaya Ball.
Kyle is a Wiradjuri man from Cowra NSW, and a final year Bachelor of Criminology & Criminal Justice / Bachelor of Laws student at UNSW Law & Justice.
Kyle was most recently working at the Public Defenders Office as an Aboriginal Cadet.
Kyle has also worked as a Research Assistant for the Centre for Crime, Law and Justice, and has contributed to the Bugmy Bar Book.

In his nomination, Kyle reflected on the inadequacies of the criminal justice system. Stating that: "It is vital Indigenous communities, particularly elders, are placed in positions of decision-making power as they can be trusted and respected to adequately reflect our needs, concerns and wants."
Kyle was presented his award by Tamara Sims, from Colin Biggers & Paisley as the sponsor for the 2022 First Nations Senior Law Student of the Year Award.
