Maikiira Barber, First Nations Junior Law Student of the Year 2025

Maikiira Barber was presented with the First Nations Junior Law Student of the Year award by Brooke Massender at the 2025 Ngalaya Ball.

Wiradjuri, Wailwan and Ngāpuhi woman and 2nd year Bachelor of Criminology / Bachelor of Laws (Honours) student, Maikiira Barber, was named First Nations Junior Law Student of the Year at the 2025 Ngalaya Ball.


Maikiira has worked as a CLCNSW First Nations Cadet at Central Coast Community Legal Centre, and volunteered to help run programs for young people through the Barang Regional Alliance on Darkinjung Country.


Brooke Massender was pleased to present the award to Maikiira on behalf of Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer.
