Sharleigh Crittenden

Chairperson

Sharleigh is a Wiradjuri woman from Central West NSW, with a Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice and Bachelor of Laws from UNSW Sydney. Sharleigh is a legal researcher and fiction author. She previously worked as the Faculty Research Cadet in UNSW Law & Justice.


Shar's short story ‘River Fish’ won the inaugural First Nations Storytelling Prize in the Best Australian Yarn 2023. She is working on her first novel, supported by a grant from Magabala Creative Grant.


She co-authored the 2023 AIJA Report: The Australian Jury in Black & White: Barriers to Indigenous representation on juries


In 2023, Shar was also named the First Nations Senior Law Student of the Year at the 2023 Ngalaya Ball.
